ARGENTINA

“500 WOMEN INTO MINING” LAUNCHED IN RIO TURBIO

As part of the Sustainability Plan that Enaex Argentina is working on since 2017 and that includes reinforcing the relationship with the communities among its main pillars, the company made an extraordinary alliance to foster the participation of women in the industry.

Since 2020, Enaex Argentina and the Mining Workers Mutual Association, and the Rio Turbio Municipality have been working closely to develop a project that today is a reality: 500 women into mining. The mission is to train 50 women every semester with all the technical tools and practice so they become blasting experts.

Last May the program was officially presented in front of the first 23 women were they received all the information required of their educational plan. Firstly, the learning part will take two months, then, after an evaluation, Enaex Argentina will train them with local experts and guests from Chile and Brazil.

PERU

INDUSTRIAS CACHIMAYO IS AWARDED THE MEDAL OF THE CITY

Last June 22 Industrias Cachimayo, was recognized with Cusco’s highest distinction, the Medal of the City 2021, for its contributions in the fight to alleviate the health crisis caused by Covid-19.

Through the pandemic, the Peruvian subsidiary has donated over 400.000 mt3 of medicinal oxygen for the local hospitals to treat patients with COVID-19.

CHILE

PRILLEX PLANT: DUAL STUDENTS ARE TRAINED THANKS TO AUGMENTED REALITY

The Digital Transformation in Prillex Plant is firmly progressing. This project has become a milestone in the complex, adapting it not only to the production process, but also to the initiatives with the local community.

Following the success, the staff that works with the dual students of the local school, Juan José Latorre Benavente, decided to use Augmented Reality to improve their technical professional learning, which has been online since last year due to the global pandemic.

For this occasion, the teachers, Patricio Carvajal and Andrés Rojas, both of the Industrial Mechanics area of the Operations and Maintenance Management, decided to take advantage of the Augmented Reality for the Bearing Mounting by Induction Heater lesson. The students and educational staff of the school praised this activity.

Enaex Brazil is recognized by Votorantim Cimentos for the second consecutive year

In 2021, Votorantim Cimentos, recognized Enaex Brazil for the second consecutive year, as a high-performance partner. The award, named VC Partner, places us in a prominent position among suppliers and attests Enaex’s high performance and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in supplying services and materials to its customers. Thanks to the recognition, we are now part of the list of partners with whom Votorantim Cimentos wants to maintain a long-term relationship–which reflects the commitment of our teams towards our customers and the focus on strengthening our connections.

CHILE

RIO LOA PLANT REINFORCES THEIR BONDS WITH CHUNCHURÍ INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY

As part of the Stakeholders Project of Rio Loa, an initiative that seeks to build better relationships with the neighbourhood of the plant, staff of the complex leaded by the Plant Manager, Julio Guerra, continues driving along with the working committees with representatives of the chunchurí indigenous community.

These meetings are intended to provide support in the recovery of ancestral heritage and to form groups to help them in their development, training and entrepreneurship through training courses that will be carried out during 2021.

Congratulations to the staff of Rio Loa Plant for building up stronger bonds with the indigenous community!

PERU

FIRST BLAST IN VOLCAN

On the second week of July, Enaex Peru performed the first centralized DaveyTronic® blast in Chungar, underground unit in Volcan.

This challenging milestone is the first centrilized blasting experience with the DaveyTronic equipment performed in an underground mine in Peru, after hard worked with the customer.

“It was very satisfying working along with Enaex in this very first centralized blast, which is a milestone in terms of safety and productivity” said Francisco Grimaldo, Operation Director of Chungar mine.

ENAEX PORTAL: A COMPLETE PLATFORM FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

In 2020, Enaex Brazil’s journey of digital transformation advanced many steps with Enaex Portal launch: an e-commerce of blasting products much easier, faster, and modern than anything you have ever seen before. In 2021, this transformation took another step forward with the launch of the new portal module, which now also offers the option to hire and schedule our online blasting services. This new functionality brings numerous advantages to our customers and benefits to our field teams, such as convenience in scheduling services, agility in operations, safety and ease in managing all the blasting documentation. Enaex Portal is a unique platform in the market, the result of Enaex’s constant evolution.

ARGENTINA

2000 RAPID COVID-19 TEST DONATED TO PUERTO DEASEADO

Along with the Mining Workers Mutual Association (AOMA in Spanish) of Santa Cruz and other companies of the industry, Enaex Argentina donated 2000 rapid antigens tests to that Municipality Intendancy, leaded by Gustavo González.

The commune chief managed through the AOMA his important donation that will allow progress in tests for the population and be able to stop the spread of the virus.
