COLLABORATIVE WORK OF ENAEX AND CIFAMAC ACHIEVES HISTORIC AGREEMENT IN MEJILLONES
In a short period of time, the NGO, CIFAMAC (Sp. Acronym for: Marine Fauna Research and Cetacean Sighting Center) and Enaex, through Planta Prillex, have consolidated their good relations through projects in favor of the marine fauna of the Mejillones Bay.
At the beginning of 2020, the productive complex started collaborating with CIFAMAC for the protection of cetaceans and marine fauna in the sector. This has materialized in the financing of scientific studies, the promotion of the great marine life in the local community with trainings, and in the support to the formalization process of the NGO in the commune, together with the Municipality of Mejillones.
Recently, a new milestone for the protection of biodiversity was achieved by agreeing, between public and private institutions, on an “imaginary maritime road” to prevent cetaceans from colliding with boats and thus avoid their death.
CIFAMAC greatly values the role of the Prillex Plant. “Enaex was the first industry that supported us, saying ‘I believe in you, I believe in the project, we are going to help you so that this is transmitted to the rest of the shipping companies’, which was later joined by other companies such as Ultramar, Puerto Mejillones, etc” said Ana García Cegarra, founder of the NGO.
“For us, it is a tremendous source of pride to accompany CIFAMAC in the work they do in safeguarding the sustainability of cetaceans and marine wildlife in the Bay of Mejillones and, above all, to have been pioneers in the industrial sector in adhering to the routes of entry of ships, in particular, in our Ammonia ship” says Felipe Muñoz, Manager of People, Sustainability and HSEQ of Chemicals.

ENAEX BRAZIL PRESENTS SUCCESSFUL CASES AT THE 13TH OPEX WORKSHOP – 2022
In June, Enaex Brazil participated in the 13th Opex Workshop – 2022, promoted by Revista Minérios e Minerales and held in Nova Lima City, Minas Gerais State, broadcast on YouTube. Alongside customers, the EMTS Brazil team gave two talks on successful cases related to the optimization of production performance in projects carried out for the mining and aggregates segments.
On the first day of the event, the Mine to Mill optimization project was presented, carried out for Lundin Mining in partnership with Hatch Engenharia. On the second day, the project carried out for Intercement Brazil was presented, focusing on increasing mining productivity due to the change in the type of explosive used.
The event brought together technical and management teams from large Brazilian mining companies, together with manufacturers, suppliers, and specialized service providers, aiming at the exchange of successful experiences. For Enaex Brazil – EMTS Manager, José Silvio Corsini, the cases presented “emphasize even more that Enaex delivers unique and personalized proposals, focused on the purpose of adding value and achieving our customers’ goals”.

MINING INDABA A SHOWCASE FOR ENAEX
For first time since 2019, stakeholders from government and the mining sector gathered under the roof of the Cape Town International Conference Centre for three days of networking, seminars and other events in the annual Mining Indaba held in Cape Town, South Africa,
Presidents of Botswana, Zambia and South Africa attended the event, and the head of state of South Africa, President Ramaphosa, called for facilitating mining investment to grow local economies and implementing decarbonisation strategies.
The team led by the Head of Sales & Marketing for Enaex Africa, Fabián Jadue, showcased our products as well as value-added services. “The customers we talked to were very excited about our robotic solution and our green ammonia initiative. They were also, I think, quite surprised at our willingness to partner, grow and invest, not only in South Africa but across the region and the continent,” commented Fabián.
BRAZIL
VALE RECOGNIZES ENAEX BRAZIL FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE MONTHS
In 2022, Enaex Brazil was recognized by Vale at two different times, for its performance and excellence in the operations of the services unit Carajás, in Pará State.
In April, the recognition took place after the client’s audit of high-risk contracts and was the result of compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, linked to the Vale Production System (VPS), the client’s internal indicator. The services unit Carajás reached 98 points in the audit, which corresponds to a “strong performance,” the highest level established by Vale. This was an unprecedented result for the unit.
In May, Vale recognized Enaex Brazil as an outstanding company in aspects related to continuous improvement, 5S and for its commitment to the purpose of the VPS. The company also honored collaborators and their operations for their engagement, performance, and results.
These achievements are the result of the daily work of our teams focused on building stronger bonds with our customers, through a commitment to our main value: life.
PERU
UNIVERSITY STUDENTS VISIT VEGUETA PLANT
Committed to building up stronger bonds with the educational community, on June 21, students from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), members of the ISEE, visited our emulsion and plasma plant located in Huaura – Lima. In this instance, they could learn about our production processes as well as our organizational culture.

HÉRY PLANT HAS ITS FIRST RECOGNITION CEREMONY OF 2022
The Recognition program already has a place in the culture of Enaex employees. It plays an important role when thanking others for their help or recognizing excellent work. It is a platform where all employees can receive positive and continuous feedback from their own colleagues, improving the work environment.
In this line, at the end of June, Planta Héry held its Recognition Ceremony for the first four months of 2022. On this occasion, the local jury congratulated 43 employees and then celebrated with a Coffee Break with the teams and leaders.
