SOUTH AFRICA

NEW PRICING TOOL BRINGS EFFICIENCIES TO THE MONTHLY UPDATE PROCESS

To solve a material business challenge of ensuring that the prices for ammonia, diesel and other raw materials are accurately updated monthly, Enaex Africa developed and implemented an innovative new platform called “E-Price”. The solution has increased productivity, reduced potential pricing calculation errors, and improved the responsiveness in terms of distributing monthly and annual pricing letters to customers.

The tool provides accurate, up-to-date monthly and annual price changes, protecting the margins per product over time. The platform’s scalability ensures that monthly and annual customer price calculations are automated for all product lines across all customers.

E-Price generates automatic pricing letters for over 80 customers per month, across both underground and opencast operations; and accommodates multiple contract scenarios, discounts, and service and transportation fees. All approvals and workflows in the pricing process happen 100% digitally, trackable in real time, which improves agility, control and outputs.

Immediate benefits include speed of response (90 fewer man-hours a month are required for the same tasks), increased price accuracy (by eliminating human error), better cost management (through access to structured data), availability of real-time data for pricing analysis, and increased flexibility.

E-Price’s accuracy and visibility have become critical to Enaex Africa’s ability to respond to both sales team and customers’ needs effectively.

Thus, it started up the “hose pusher” – which can be operated remotely and without jeopardizing the rock quality – in the mines of Cerro Moro, belonging to Yamana, and Cerro Negro, belonging to Newmont. This constitutes a materialization of the subsidiary’s objectives.
