The YNBA team from France became the winner of the 1 Xolution contest!
The YNBA (You’ll Never Be Alone) team from France is the brand new winner of the final of the 1 Xolution contest, which took place last Monday, November 21 through the Zoom platform.
The five 1 Xolution finalist teams met to present their solutions to resigned safety-related problems before the Enaex Executive Committee, which evaluated the presentations in pitch format of each proposal before deciding the big winner.
The YNBA team, made up of Bérangere Perrin, Farha Lods, Pierre Burtin, Jean Jacques Bellon, Alexandre Claude and Fréderic Marcos, proposed the use of a lone worker alarm device that would inform the headquarters of their status and reduce risk levels when working alone, thus ensuring our workers’ safety and mental health.

Enaex hires Toyo Engineering from Japan to develop a green ammonia project
Enaex signed a contract last week with the largest engineering firm in Japan, Toyo, in order to carry out the engineering of the Hyex green ammonia project.
The investment, which belongs to a pilot project and will be carried out in Tocopilla, seeks to satisfy 5% of Enaex’s ammonia supply needs for the production of blasting material or blasting agents.
The initiative has an approved environmental impact statement (DIA), an official document that contains the result of an environmental impact assessment and its allegations. This declaration has only been delivered to three of the initiatives of this type, out of a total of 69 that have said status in Chile.

Enaex was awarded first place in the 2022 Mining Services area by the Most Innovative Companies Ranking, an award that was delivered at a ceremony on Tuesday, November 15.
This ranking is carried out annually by the ESE Business School in alliance with the El Mercurio newspaper and MIC Innovation Consultant. All participating companies are subjected to an evaluation of their innovation policies, processes and procedures, the elements that create and shape the culture of innovation, as well as the impact of innovation on company results.
This award, which we have won in the past, ratifies the immense and efficient collaborative work that the different areas of Enaex do daily to provide the best solutions in the mining industry through innovation.

IT assistant management improves connectivity of Enaex Service plants thanks to Starlink satellite internet
Excellent results of speed and stability of the internet service have been seen by more than 20 Enaex Chile Service plants after the IT Operations team acquired and implemented the satellite internet services of Starlink, a company created by Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
After the process of acquisition and implementation of this service by the IT Operations Team in the most remote Service plants, those that never had good connectivity in the past, the results obtained have been exceptional.
“The internet company, Starlink arrived in Chile in the first half of 2022, mainly between the fourth and eighth regions, and in September it was available throughout Chile. To date we already have more than 20 plants implemented with this new technology and we continue to add more installations”, said Marcelo Canales, Head of Technological Operations.

Enaex Peru executed the first fracture with PLASMA4TH at Minera Antamina
Enaex Peru, through its innovative Plasma4th® technology, executed the first rock fracture in Phase 10, as part of the Mine’s useful life extension.
This operation, which was carried out on Thursday, October 27, was very well received by the client, demonstrating the effectiveness of Plasma 4th® technology in delivering the promised results.

Renaldo Maras, director of Enaex Asia, visited Enaex France facilities in Héry
The director of Enaex Asia, Renaldo Maras, made a long-awaited visit to the Enaex France facilities in Héry in October, where he got to know the plants and shared with the team.
During his visit, the first in 3 years, Renaldo Maras discussed his business prospects with the heads of various departments and their staff (T&S, Customer Satisfaction, Supply Chain, Finance, Industrialisation, IS, Human Resources, etc.), as well as visit the production areas of the Héry facilities.

Global cooperation on the rise: Enaex Africa received visits from international experts
As Enaex Africa expands into the African continent, the benefits of belonging to a global company are becoming more evident.
In September, the Explosives Specialist Manager Marivi Ramírez and Christian Mardones, EMTS Chile Director, were received by Enaex Africa’s Commercial Technical Support Manager, Charlene Hugo, who is working on the explosive emulsion formulation.
Likewise, Enaex Africa received another visitor a few weeks ago: Héctor Villalobos, Geotechnics Specialist Manager, based in Santiago. At the invitation of Marketing and Sales Director Johan Fourie, Hector visited Thundela Resources’ Isibonelo coal mine to investigate an instability problem resulting from high walls caused by deviations in geological conditions.
Bryton Rasebeshela, Enaex Africa Regional Sales Manager, said this visit was an excellent way to build relationships with customers. “Hector comes from a different work environment, which means he was able to speak freely about what needs to be done. It’s like having an independent consultant on site whose opinion the client trusts.”

Enaex Brazil is awarded by its clients Yamana Gold and Taboca
Taboca recognized Enaex Brasil as the best performance in Participatory Management of Contractors 2021, an award that identifies the companies that had the best operational performance, with the lowest claim rate, as well as presenting projects that add even more security to operational activities.
Meanwhile, good practices in the areas of Health, Safety, Environment and Social Actions were recognized by Yamana Gold with the Award for Excellence in HSE Contractors 2022. On the occasion, the collaborator Rafael Lima Fonseca, Work Safety Technician He also received the Award for Outstanding Professional in SEOC Contractors – Specialized Services in Safety Engineering and Occupational Medicine.
“Working with the objective of protecting the health and integrity of people is very gratifying. Being recognized for this is even more rewarding. Integration Day: Sigdo Koppers Group brought together clients from its 3 companies in Brazil
The Sigdo Koppers Group held the Integration Day celebration in the city of São Paulo, the first integration event for its three companies in Brazil, where it operates through SKIC, Enaex and Magotteaux.
The event was attended by Juan Eduardo Errázuriz, president of SK Group, who highlighted the good prospects of the company for the Brazilian market. “Brazil is a fundamental part of the group’s global growth strategy. SKIC, Enaex and Maggoteaux allow us to offer Brazilian customers in the Mining and Energy sectors high-quality products and services and innovative solutions, using high technological and engineering complexity, without ever neglecting care for the environment and sustainability”, said.
