Know the most important news of the month!
90 leaders from 11 countries around the world where Enaex operates, met on February 27, in Chile, to participate in a new edition of the company’s leaders meeting.
“Exploring new Frontiers” was the title of the event that sought to bring together all the people at the head of the company.
In the instance, they talked about how we have been meeting the goals of our strategic planning, both in growth and capabilities. Topics including innovation and technology were treated, and to conclude the exhibitions there was a discussion about people and culture management. People are the ones who make the difference in companies and they play an important role in fulfilling our purpose of humanizing the mining industry.
To conclude this important event, the leaders had the opportunity to test collaborative ways of working with an expert consultant, in order to define the main actions that help us fulfill our vision of being the preferred of the industry.
Throughout the month of March, testimonies and stories of collaborators from the several branches of Enaex in the world were posted on the various platforms of the company to commemorate the International Women’s Day.
In an industry that has historically been dominated by men, today there are women who dared to break paradigms and take up a space that was unthinkable before. In commemoration of Women’s Month, Enaex wanted to recognize them and make their stories visible.
The participants of the first edition of this campaign were:
For France, Caroline LHOMME, Sandra GILLET, and Marie-Christine CAZIN.
From Brazil, the collaborators were Silvana SOUSA SUARES, Aline SILVA MICLOS, and Josiane MAGALHAES DE JESUS. Julieth AVELLA and Karol CARDEÑO were the representatives of Colombia.
For Argentina, Cecilia SILVA and Verónica AGUILERA. Enaex Africa was represented by Hope DIREE, Pearl NKOANA, and Benedictha BHILA.
Leslie MATTOS and Marta NARANJO ARAYOS represented Enaex Chile. Haidi BARRY from Enaex Australia, while Mary Laura ATAUCHI and Mariana GALLEGOS were in charge of making visible the work of women in Enaex Peru.

On February 21, Davey Brickford Enaex’s team made a donation of 1000 euros to the INFORMATION CENTER ON THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN AND FAMILIES (CIDFF, French acronym).
This donation is the result of recognitions delivered on the Recognition Platform of the French subsidiary during the year 2022. The amount of recognitions created by collaborators was equivalent to the number of euros to donate.
CIDFF informs, guides, and supports citizens, especially women, in the areas of access to justice, fight against gender violence, fatherhood support, employment, vocational training, business creation, and health.
On March 8, in order to follow up on the exchange initiatives, the Davey Bickford Enaex team decided to organize regular visits in all our productive sectors with members of our Executive Committee in order to meet our collaborators.
These moments that made possible listening to our collaborators and mutual exchanges will replace last year’s “Stronger Bonds” Lunches.
In the first edition of the Tour, Esteban FISHER, CEO of Davey Bickford Enaex and Véra DA SILVA, Director of Human Resources visited the plant.
At the meeting, they thanked all the collaborators for the enthusiasm and effort they put into work.
One of the main objectives of Enaex Brasil for the next 5 years in terms of sustainability is the protection of the environment, focusing on the use of renewable energies and carbon neutrality. And the plan has already been implemented. Since February, the photovoltaic plant in Escada, state of Pernambuco, has been in operation. Its purpose is to generate electricity by capturing and converting solar radiation. The plant produces 100% of the energy of the site, providing electricity for the entire operation. Some positive impacts of the new plant are the annual reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and its high durability.
For Enaex Brazil, protecting the environment means creating ever stronger links with life.
Congratulations to those involved! We will continue to look for new initiatives that benefit the planet and the everyday lives of all our collaborators.
Enaex Brazil received important awards from its clients at the beginning of 2023, reinforcing the company’s commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, ESG, and continuous improvement. Here are some of the most important awards we received earlier this year:

– Gold Safety Seal, received by US Lundin Mining.
– 2nd place in the Productivity and Performance category, received by US Mosaic Cajati.
– Acknowledgment for being a Continuous Improvement Partner, received by US Vale Carajás. Emphasis on the implementation of tire calibration tools and sieve for plugging.
These achievements reaffirm our commitment to life and the search for ever stronger bonds with our clients.
On February 1, the first Enaex Australia Recognition ceremony took place in Brisbane.
At the ceremony, certificates were awarded to the most valuable collaborators of the month.
Among them:
Tareq Von Ooesterom in March, Nathanael Hamilton in April, Kanishma Vasudevan in June and Kirk Grant in October.
Edmundo Jimenez, CEO of Enaex Australia and Julie Peut, Human Resources Manager were in charge of delivering the certificates to the winners.
During the coming months, the team of Enaex Australia will begin to perform quarterly ceremonies, simultaneously with those of the rest of the world.
On Friday, March 3, in a safety walk in the field, the mining company Gold Fields awarded the Enaex team from Salares Norte for their active participation in the safety campaign on hand care called “Mano a Mano Contigo”.
This campaign was inspired by the idea of looking for measures to stop accidents in different mining scenarios. Most of them are related to the use of our hands.
Since the beginning of the contract with Gold Fields in 2020, Enaex has had no accidents. This milestone reinforces our commitment to safety and excellence.
The Gold Fields team was in the field, reviewed the safety measures and asked the operators questions about the company’s values. The response from our employees was positive and they received a collective award.
Innovative solutions and value-added services were the contents shown by Enaex Africa on the largest African mining investment platform: the INDABA Mining Exhibition 2023.
This premier event of the African mining industry brings together heads of state, government ministers, captains of industry, service providers, investors, analysts, and a variety of other stakeholders to connect on the big issues faced by the industry. This year’s event was held at the Cape Town International Convention Center from February 6 to 9.
Some of the themes this year’s event explored included the future of coal, sustainability, the energy transition, and the role of technology.
The delegation of Enaex Africa was led by CEO Francisco Baudrand, and included members of the executive committee as well as a multidisciplinary team representing Sales and Marketing, Mining Services, and EMTS. The event was an opportunity for the team to meet clients, catch up with their industry colleagues, and check out the latest industry trends.
“Some of our main goals at Mining Indaba included networking and enhancing our brand by raising awareness of our new and innovative projects, showing what we are doing that is different from the rest of the industry.” Francisco Baudrand – CEO of Enaex Africa
As part of a series of media engagements for the event, Francisco participated in a CNBC Africa panel discussion titled ‘Safety in Mining’.
