GREAT TEAMS

The Team of the Vice-Presidency of Chemicals is convinced that being GREAT is in our DNA. That is why, from the Prillex Plant, we conducted an exercise simultaneously with the entire Vice-Presidency, both in person and within the TEAMs. This, with the purpose of defining a series of commitments that will undoubtedly help us achieve our goal. These commitments can be summarized in the following goal:

 

“Exceeding our objectives as Vice-Presidency, with a clear FOCUS, acting with DISCIPLINE and RIGUROSITY, establishing the necessary RETROSPECTIVES, and constantly CONTROLLING our processes. Furthermore, putting our People, Clients, and Sustainability at the CENTER, and having SAFETY as a non-negotiable foundation”.

ENAEX TEAMS AROUND THE WORLD ARE WORKING ON THEIR “GREAT” COMMITMENT.

Following the big launch of the value “Our Obsession: Excellence” in mid-April, leaders and their teams have been doing the corresponding rollout and discussing what their “GREAT” commitment will be for this year. Does your team already have its “GREAT” commitment?

CHILEAN UNDERGROUND MINING TEAM SENDS 3 UBT DEVICES TO ENAEX PERU

As part of the global underground mining business development, the Chile Underground Mining team supported the Peru team by sending 3 emulsion manufacturing devices. These are:

UBT XS equipment in 2019 and 2022.

 

A Factory Truck with a capacity of 400kg, capable of being mounted on a 4×4 single cab pickup truck, and specially designed to implement field demonstrations in an agile way and to quickly validate the added value that this solution represents.

Double UBT equipment in March, 2023

 

3-ton capacity factory truck, mounted on a 4×4 truck, whose emulsion manufacturing system has 2 pumps and 2 independent hoses, increasing productivity in large-scale projects, such as large tunnels and quarries.

These solutions are part of the range of services provided for underground mining, whose focus is implementing projects in an agile manner and allowing the client to obtain value quickly and safely.

INTERCOMPANY EXPORT BETWEEN ENAEX BRASIL AND ENAEX ASIA ENABLES SALES TO CUSTOMERS IN THAILAND

Enaex’s global growth strategy is to boost intercompany exports between its different subsidiaries. A recent example is the joint record sale by Enaex Brazil and Enaex Asia to a customer in Thailand who will supply the company for two years.

 

In total, 16 containers were shipped with a volume of more than 580,000 pieces of Brinel and approximately 227,000 units of Booster. Customer-centered strategies and synergy between the companies’ professionals were essential to ensure production and delivery. Stronger bonds make us stronger.

SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF DAVEYTRONIC SWIFT WITH IMPORTANT CUSTOMER

On March 4, the implementation of selective blasting with DaveyTronic SWIFT detonators began with the customer Kolpa, due to the successful demonstration through the tests conducted between July and August, 2022.

 

During the whole month of March, a total of 60 blasting operations and a consumption of 1378 detonators were successfully conducted without any major mishap. Its application in Kolpa has brought both operational and economic benefits, managing to increase its monthly production by 1,300 tons of high value ore, which means an added value of more than 100,000 USD to the operation. The Enaex Peru team will continue working to add value to the client.

EMPLOYEES UNDERGO TRAINING

During the month of March, 7 employees in charge of managing the automatic line of the Héry Plant underwent a training period at “Pôle Formation 58-89”, an important industrial training center in Auxerre, France.

 

This visit allowed them to acquire new theoretical knowledge to be applied in their daily work in the production plant. 

ENAEX BRASIL LAUNCHES ENABOT, VIRTUAL ASSISTANT THAT OPERATES IN TEAMS

Implementing new technological tools that simplify daily activities and boost productivity is part of the innovation and entrepreneurship culture of Enaex Brasil. In this context, one of the finalists of Hackathon 2022 developed Enabot, a chatbot that operates in Teams and is available since April for all collaborators in the country.

 

Version 1.0 is dedicated to the corporate services of Human Resources and Sustainability Management, besides providing greater effectiveness to solve issues presented by collaborators. In its first week of operation, Enabot recorded more than 1,950 virtual support operations with a 90%-resolution rate.

 

Soon other areas of Enaex Brasil will be able to reach different modules of Enabot and automate problem-solving with the use of Power Virtual Agents, by Microsoft.

HÉRY PLANT MANAGER SAYS GOODBYE AFTER 10 YEARS OF SERVICE

At the beginning of April, Héry Plant Manager Dominique Verduyn said goodbye to the entire team of the complex to begin a new stage of his life, retirement. In a ceremony attended by the Mayor of Héry; Esteban Fisher, the E3A Vice President, thanked him for the 10 years of commitment and dedication that Dominique gave to the company, being a key element in its growth.

 

Enaex wishes the best to Dominique Verduyn in his retirement.

ENAEX PERU IMPLEMENTS PLASMA 4TH® WITH ANGLOAMERICAN

Enaex, as a strategic partner of Angloamerican, has a fundamental participation in the tailings dam expansion project and the construction of platform 02 at the Quellaveco Mine.

 

Rock fragmentation with 4th® plasma is considered the best alternative given the client’s needs. This, because 1,388,000 m3 of rock needs to be removed from Quarry No. 05, and that will be used to expand the tailings dam. Likewise, 52,000 m3 are required to be removed from platform 02.

 

This project will mark a very important milestone in Enaex’s project portfolio and will consolidate Plasma 4th as one of the most flexible engineering solutions in the market. At the beginning of these operations, theoretical and practical training on general product concepts was conducted and there have been no incidents or accidents.
