In line with its commitment to mitigate any negative impact on the environment and to strengthen its standards of quality, safety, and environmental management, Enaex has conducted a comprehensive survey of protected areas in all its subsidiaries.
The main objective of this initiative was to identify and evaluate possible areas declared in a state of conservation near the company’s facilities. This analysis was led by Valeria Valencia, Sustainability Analyst, in collaboration with local environmental leaders and using advanced tools such as QGIS software, allowed the identification of potential habitats of endangered species.

The Operational Supply department at Prillex Plant, with its purpose of establishing a self-sustainable and efficient operation to ensure reliability in supply, has developed a Digital Transformation Project named “Self-Service Container”.
This project utilizes IoT (Internet of Things) devices and will seek to enable workers to independently access high-demand products. This will contribute to reducing the time spent on routine warehouse tasks and enhancing the availability of essential materials for users during the PANNA4 Turbine Train Overhaul Plant Shutdown.
The announcement was made by Jimmy Vicencio, Assistant Manager of Administration and Management Control at the Mejillones Chemical Complex. During a presentation held in the industrial complex’s auditorium, Vicencio explained that this digital system would streamline the user’s experience by enabling material dispatching in three steps: validating the user at the access control, retrieving the required material, and recording consumption at the PoD station.
Vicencio emphasized that through process integration, this technology aims to guarantee a 40 percent increase in productivity, timely tracking of material turnover, and enhanced reliability of global inventory.
