On July 10, in the auditorium of the corporate building in Santiago, with a parallel transmission via Teams, the global talk “Transforming the Mining Industry: The Power of Recognition and Humanization” was held. The event was attended by more than 470 people online and around 80 people onsite. This presentation was led by the Spanish expert in cultural transformation processes, Álex Rovira.
Álex Rovira spoke about the importance of recognition and its effect on people. To reinforce these ideas, he explained the Pygmalion effect, a psychological phenomenon where the expectations of one person about another influence the performance and behavior of the latter, causing them to act in a way that confirms those beliefs.
In addition, he used two real cases of self-improvement and transformation to emphasize that recognition is a fundamental tool in all areas of life. Finally, he stressed the importance of the idea that believing is doing.

With the purpose of Humanizing the mining industry, Enaex unloaded a cargo ship with blue ammonia at the Enaex Mejillones port in Chile. This is part of the company’s decarbonization strategy, which seeks to incorporate blue ammonia into its production chain as a transition to becoming net zero.
This is the second discharge of this product, and 10,000 tons of blue ammonia were unloaded, which will be used for the creation of a new product, Prillex ECO2. Prillex ECO2 is a step towards becoming net zero, offering the same technical characteristics but with a reduced carbon footprint.
Enaex has promoted several initiatives aimed at contributing to environmental care and mitigating the impact of its operations. The company has achieved a 94% reduction in CO2 emissions at its Prillex America Plant, an accomplishment reached over 14 years.
In line with these efforts, Enaex has set goals such as reducing the remaining emissions by 30% (scope 1) and 40% (scope 2) by 2030 and 2035, respectively. The company also aims to reduce freshwater use by 40% by 2040, particularly in regions with limited water availability.

In June, Enaex Brazil completed the production of its third Dual Pump Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU). The key feature of this MMU is increased emulsification capacity due to the presence of two pumping units on a single truck. “With the Dual Pump, instead of using a larger pump to increase the pumping capacity per minute, we opted to use two pumps in parallel. This allows an increase in productivity of up to 60%, depending on the application scenario. Furthermore, we see it as an opportunity to apply gasified emulsions of different densities in the same dismantling, meeting the specific needs of our customers”, explains Marcio Vivas, Services Manager of Enaex Brazil.
There are currently three MMU Dual Pump in operation in Brazil. In addition to these three units, Enaex Brazil currently operates a fleet of 112 additional MMUs for open-pit mining and 22 units for underground mining, totaling 137 factory trucks in operation.
