Enaex Africa, in collaboration with its client United Manganese of Kalahari (UMK), inaugurated a new Early Childhood Development (ECD) Center in the Northern Cape town of Ncwaneng. This project responds to an urgent need in the region by providing local children with access to quality early childhood education in a safe and stimulating environment.
Enaex Africa financed the construction of the center’s toilet facilities and ensured that it was equipped with children’s furniture, a garden gym and educational materials to create an interactive learning environment.
The center will not only benefit the children of Ncwaneng, but will also help alleviate the challenges faced by local families in terms of children’s educational resources. This initiative reflects both companies’ commitment to community development, promoting early learning and social empowerment.
In addition, the construction of the center generated 18 new jobs, providing crucial skills and economic opportunities for the local community. With this project, Enaex Africa and UMK seek to create a positive and lasting impact in the region.

Within the framework of the 10 years of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI), the entity in charge of the search and international preliminary examination of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), Enaex received the WIPO National Award for being a company that stands out in the use of the PCT to internationalize its innovations.
Enaex is the first Chilean company to receive this recognition for its regular use of the patent system and the PCT, and for contributing to the country’s innovation, setting an example for other national companies to start using intellectual property as a way of protecting their products and services.
“Among our most outstanding innovations is Ecotruck, a patented technology for the manufacture of explosives from recycled lubricating oils, which reduces the use of petroleum and benefits the environment,” says Pablo Wallach, Vice President of Innovation and Marketing at Enaex.

Enaex Africa is proud to have supported the Chilean women’s +40 field field hockey team at the Masters Hockey World Cup in Cape Town, promoting the values of teamwork, resilience and diversity both inside and outside the organization.
Francisco Baudrand, CEO of Enaex Africa, accompanied by local Executive Committee members Cristian Henriquez and Fabian Jadue, attended Chile’s match against New Zealand on October 15, 2024, strengthening the ties between Chile and Enaex Africa’s commitment to excellence in various industries.
“Supporting the Chilean women’s team is a testament to our commitment to diversity and empowerment,” said Francisco Baudrand. Referring to the key first goal in the game against New Zealand, team captain Daniela Infante said, “Scoring our first goal gave us the confidence to keep going.”
The Chilean team faced a tough competition, losing in the semifinal to Argentina in a penalty shootout. Their resilience shone through in a thrilling 2-1 victory over England, winning the bronze medal with a decisive goal five minutes from time.

The French business unit presented a check for €1,000 to the Child Protection Committee of Yonne (CPEY), an amount corresponding to the number of recognitions issued in the Recognition Program during 2023. The presentation took place on October 3, 2024 in the presence of the CPEY director, her assistant and representatives of the Management Committee.
For 2024, the company has decided to collaborate with RENOUER, a local non-profit association dedicated to supporting adults in situations of social and labor vulnerability, helping them to reintegrate into work and society.

Enaex Brazil won the 1st position in the ESG – Governance pillar within the Chemical and Petrochemical sector, according to the prestigious Época Negócios 360° 2024 Yearbook. This recognition reaffirms the company’s commitment to the best corporate governance practices, also standing out with 2nd place in Innovation and Vision of the Future and 2nd place overall in the industry ranking.

In an innovative bet on the “Glocal” concept, Enaex Argentina has developed the new UBC Truck, a global project adapted to local manufacturing, designed to optimize its open pit mining operations with Straight Emulsion.
This truck, based on a global model adapted to local needs, improves mining loading cycles by offering a pumpable base product sensitized by chemical gasification. With a load capacity of up to 400 kg/min and a total of 20 tons, these trucks are designed to maximize efficiency in every operation.
The implementation of this technology reflects Enaex Argentina’s commitment to integrate advanced solutions in mining, adapting global concepts to the specific needs of the local environment.

Enaex was recognized for its participation in the Huella Chile program, achieving the carbon footprint certification for two of its main products in the Prillex Plant: VE03 Matrix and Ammonium Nitrate. This program, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment, CODELCO and Corporación Alta Ley, promotes the reduction of carbon emissions in companies.
This recognition highlights Enaex’s progress towards Carbon Neutrality, the result of a public-private collaborative process initiated more than a year ago, which included training in the Huella Chile tool and culminated in certification, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability.
The award ceremony was headed by the Minister of the Environment, Maisa Rojas, and was attended by the Minister of Mining, Suina Chahuan Kim; the Vice-President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability of CODELCO, Gabriel Méndez; and the Executive President of Corporación Alta Ley, Fernando Lucchini.

On October 21, 2024, Enaex celebrated the inauguration of its new corporate building in Héry, a significant milestone for the company. The ceremony brought together prominent representatives, including Esteban Fisher, Vice President Europe & Asia; Patricia Valenzuela, Chief Human Resources Officer, and members of COMEX and CODIR, as well as a representative of the Social and Economic Committee (CSE). Also present were Patrick Rousselle, Mayor of Héry, and a journalist from the local press.
The event began with an inaugural speech highlighting the importance of this new space for the development of the company. Afterwards, the official designation of the building took place, followed by a convivial moment where employees and guests enjoyed a gastronomic experience.

Quatro Barras, Cezarina and Escada Sites teams carried out the integrated SIPAT between November 18 and 22. Among the activities, lectures, and dynamics aimed at sensitizing employees about the importance of adopting preventive measures and taking care of collective well-being.
The Internal Accident Prevention Weeks (SIPAT Portuguese) are annual events and an opportunity to promote and reinforce good health and safety practices at the workplace. In the Service Units, SIPAT is usually performed in an integrated manner with our customers.
In SIPAT, all participants take the chance to actively engage in discussions about safety at work, sharing knowledge and strategies to minimize risks, promote a safe environment, and ensure physical and mental health.
