X-CHANGE: THE NEW COLLABORATION PLATFORM

On November 18, Enaex launched X-Change, a corporate platform with the mission of promoting the exchange of good practices developed in the business units, reinforcing the concept of cross-fertilization.  

According to Cleiton Delgado, Accounting and Legal Manager of Brazil, “the X-Change platform consolidates itself as a unified and standardized repository for the dissemination of good practices, with a simple and efficient concept that, in addition to highlighting the initiatives developed, also makes visible the teams that led them, strengthening the connections between departments and companies of the group.”  

Sueli Gonçalves, Business Support Manager, commented that “the tool will allow us to have a constant circle of teaching and learning, in any area of performance. We launched the platform with 20 best practices from Brazil and it will be continuously updated with new cases, functioning as a repository and library of knowledge, with materials developed from the experience and knowledge of Enaex teams around the world.”  

Each collaborator is fundamental for the platform to be constantly updated. If you have contributed to optimize your day-to-day, created a new process, a new solution, a new method, a new culture or tool, you are more than invited to share and submit your experience.

ENAEX CARRIED OUT A CHRISTMAS ACTIVITY IN THE COMMUNITIES OF THE CACHIMAYO PLANT AREA

Enaex’s People and Sustainability team led an exciting Christmas activity in the area of influence of the Cachimayo Plant in Cusco, bringing joy and unforgettable moments to approximately 1,200 children from 11 local communities.

The event, which took place over two days on December 7 and 9, included a lively Christmas show designed to generate smiles and strengthen ties with neighboring communities. This initiative reflects Enaex’s continuous commitment to the wellbeing and development of the communities near its operations, especially during significant times such as Christmas.

With activities such as these, Enaex reaffirms its purpose to contribute positively to the environment where it operates, promoting values of union and joy.

ENAEX AUSTRALIA SUCCESSFULLY HELD ITS FIRST LEADERS SUMMIT

Last week, Enaex Australia successfully held its first Leaders Summit in the city of Brisbane, bringing together key leaders from all regions to define the strategic objectives that will guide the company in the coming years.

 
The two-day event featured thoughtful discussions and concrete actions aimed at driving sustainable business growth. This collaborative space allowed the participants to align themselves in a shared vision for the future of Enaex and to strengthen the commitment with the values that characterize the organization.

ENAEX PARTICIPATES IN MINERA LOS PELAMBRES' EXPO “COLLABORATING COMPANIES AND LOCAL SUPPLIERS 2024

Enaex participated in the Expo Collaborating Companies and Local Suppliers 2024, organized by Minera Los Pelambres (MLP) at Casona Santa Rosa, Salamanca. The event was attended by local suppliers, collaborating companies and mining companies from the AMSA Group and the region, with the aim of strengthening ties between the parties and promoting the development of the communities where it operates. 

During the event, a presentation was made highlighting the services offered, Enaex’s expertise and the projects in progress with MLP and other companies of the AMSA Group. In addition, future needs and the search for services from suppliers with whom the company seeks to establish strategic connections were addressed. 

The presentation highlighted Enaex’s sustainability strategy, focused on community development and wellbeing, highlighting employees as key pillars, with a commitment to quality jobs, safety and development opportunities.

 Enaex’s presentation attracted 40 local suppliers from the Choapa Valley interested in joining its database, strengthening strategic alliances with AMSA, MLP and local suppliers’ management. This event reaffirmed Enaex’s commitment to sustainability and collaborative development, promoting mutual growth.

ENAEX AFRICA HELD THE ANNUAL FINANCE MEETING AND 2024 INTEGRATION EVENT.

On November 27, Enaex Africa’s finance team gathered at the Ten Bompas Hotel, Rosebank, for a day focused on strategy and collaboration. 

 

In a presentation by Enaex Africa’s CFO Cristian Henriquez, he highlighted Enaex Africa’s impressive growth, including an 8-fold increase in EBIT since inception. He also emphasized the company’s dominant position in the explosives sector in Southern Africa, with key milestones such as expansion in Botswana and Zambia, advances in strategic locations and innovations in MMU technology. 

 

Henriquez presented the 2025 strategy, focused on growth, efficiency, customer relationships and a firm commitment to ESG principles, exemplified by projects such as the Ndzame Child Development Center in East London. 

 

For its part, the integration activity was in collaboration with Beach and Bush, the team assembled Raleigh bicycles for the children of Tsakani Primary School in Krugersdorp. With its passionate team driving innovation and progress, Enaex Africa is poised to achieve its strategic objectives and continue to make a positive impact on the communities it serves.

ENAEX REINFORCES MINING TRAINING WITH EPC'S VISIT TO HERY PLANT

During this fall, Enaex received the EPC company at its HERY plant as part of its mining training program, which involves groups of 10 to 15 employees. This collaboration aims to train mining experts in a broader knowledge of mining methods, contributing to professional development in the sector.

 
The visit allowed Enaex to highlight its latest innovations, promoting the know-how and commitment of its teams, and to present the advantages of its Daveytronic technological solutions. In addition, this meeting served as a valuable opportunity to gather direct feedback from the field, both on the performance of Enaex products and those of the competition.

ENAEX BRAZIL ENDS THE YEAR WITH A LIVE FOR ALL EMPLOYEES IN THE COUNTRY

On December 6, Enaex Brazil held its traditional New Year’s Eve Live, broadcasted on YouTube, directly from Quatro Barras. For the fifth consecutive year, the event brought together employees from different areas, including factories, distribution centers and administrative sectors, reinforcing the connection between all.

 

With the theme “Enaex DNA”, aligned to the global campaign, the event highlighted the values and essence that define the company. During approximately 3 hours of transmission, the public showed great engagement, adding 7,528 messages in the chat, more than 26 thousand reactions and a peak of 922 simultaneous viewers.

 

Filled with lots of music, the program included special moments, such as corporate videos, live interactions with operational teams, testimonials from employees about how they live Enaex’s DNA, tributes for time served and numerous raffles.

ENAEX SUCCESSFULLY INITIATES 4TH PLASMA FRAGMENTATION SERVICE IN CERRO VERDE

Since September 27th, Enaex has implemented its innovative rock fragmentation service at Compañía Minera Cerro Verde, owned by Freeport-McMoRan. To date, 30 thousand m³ of rock have been fragmented, achieving favorable results that have allowed our client to maintain continuity in the earthworks necessary for the execution of their projects.

 

As part of this personalized service, Enaex introduced a new presentation of 7 kg PLASMA 4Th loads, specifically designed to optimize loading times and improve performance in the volume of fragmented rock. This innovation has strengthened our contribution to Cerro Verde’s operational needs, reaffirming our commitment to excellence and innovation.

 

With a focus on safety, efficiency and quality, Enaex will continue to offer customized solutions that generate sustainable value in each mining operation.

ENAEX NORTH AMERICA RECEIVED TWO INDUSTRY SAFETY AWARDS 2024

Enaex North America received two awards in recognition of its high safety standards during 2024.

 
The first was awarded by the Institute of Explosives Manufacturers (IME), a non-profit association that brings together manufacturers, suppliers and users of commercial explosives in North America. The IME represents the industry in Washington, D.C., working on the constant evolution of legal regulations.

 
The second award comes from the Utah Safety Council, a nonprofit organization that supports Utah’s industrial manufacturers in promoting safety and health through education, services and products. This recognition marks the eighth consecutive year that Enaex North America has been awarded for its excellent safety record.

 
These achievements are the result of Enaex North America employees’ commitment to meeting strict safety standards.

ENAEX ARGENTINA CONTINUES TO GROW: NEW CONTRACT WITH CERRO VANGUARDIA

On November 15, 2024 Enaex Argentina was awarded by Cerro Vanguardia S.A. (AngloGold Ashanti) to supply Low Density Ammonium Nitrate for a period of two years.

 

Cerro Vanguardia is a mine with UG and OP operations located in Santa Cruz province. The bid was won by the local supplier that has its own Nitrate plant in operation, who was the supplier for the last 4 years, and who is also the company that performs the Blasting Service. The supply, which started in the first week of December, will contemplate the delivery of approximately 500 tons per month, for a total of approximately 12,000 tons during the term of the contract.

 

This award is a milestone for Enaex Argentina since it allows us to increase the Market Share with a strong reflection in our EBIT, expanding our commercial presence in all the big mining projects of the province of Santa Cruz.

ENAEX FAMILIES ENJOYED UNFORGETTABLE DAYS IN PRILLEX PLANT

In an atmosphere of joy and fun, the collaborators of the Prillex America Plant in Mejillones and their families lived unique moments during the visits to the chemical complex in its 2024 version, a tradition that strengthens family ties and allows to recharge energies for the rest of the year.

During the two days, there were activities for all ages, such as inflatable games, an artistic circus show, a foam party in a large swimming pool, a spa for the little ones, photographs with a 360º camera and a delicious gastronomic offer. The good energy of the Enaex families filled both evenings with smiles and pleasant memories.

The People and Sustainability Manager of Prillex, Raimundo Diaz, thanked the great participation of the attendees, highlighting that it was key to the success of both family days. These instances reflect Enaex’s commitment with the wellbeing of its collaborators and the construction of a work environment based on union and joy.

ENAEX AFRICA TOOK PART IN MINESAFE AND 4IR CONFERENCES

In November, Enaex Africa took part in the MineSafe and 4IR conferences. These events highlighted how our innovative solutions and strategic partnerships are redefining the future of mining through advanced technology and responsible practices.

 

At MineSafe, Francisco Baudrand, CEO of Enaex Africa, presented solutions such as teleoperated Mobile Mixing Units (MMUs) designed to improve safety in hazardous environments. Enaex Africa’s collaboration with Stellenbosch University also seeks to improve safety and efficiency in narrow-vein mining operations.

 

In addition, Enaex Africa has achieved key sustainability milestones, such as the Bohlale Child Care Center in Limpopo. These efforts reflect our commitment to responsible mining.

 

At the 4IR conference, Enaex Bright, a digital ecosystem that improves operational efficiency and sustainability, was presented, along with the DaveyTronic®5 system for precision blasting, Chilean robotic advances that automate dangerous tasks, and the artificial intelligence-driven Husky platform, developed in conjunction with Stellenbosch University to revolutionize narrow-vein mining.

 

These conferences underscored Enaex Africa’s commitment to integrating technology with social responsibility. By fusing innovation with community-focused initiatives, we are transforming the industry.

SUCCESS IN THE FIRST CENTRALIZED BLASTING WITH DAVEYTRONIC SWIFT AT MINERA HOCHSCHILD

On November 13, 2024, the first centralized blasting was successfully carried out at Minera Hochschild’s Inmaculada Operating Unit, operated by Cia Minera Ares. Using advanced DAVEYTRONIC SWIFT electronic detonators, the remote initiation was carried out from the Mining Operations Center (COM) room on the surface, in the presence of the Mine Superintendent, Dilmer Quispe. This operation allowed the simultaneous activation of three production pits on Level 4180.

 

This important achievement demonstrates the benefits of the DAVEYTRONIC electronic initiation system, which combines safety, innovation and state-of-the-art technology. It also reinforces Enaex’s commitment to offer advanced solutions that optimize mining processes and guarantee high safety standards in each project.

ENAEX ARGENTINA: CONTRACT IN GUALCAMAYO MINE, ANOTHER SIGN OF GROWTH

At the beginning of December, Enaex Argentina was awarded the UG Manual Blasting Service in a first phase, passing to mechanized in the subsequent phase of deepening and production in “Deep Carbonate”, with supply in TLS model (total loading services) for the operation of Gualcamayo (Minas Argentinas which foresees an investment of USD 1,000 million) located in the province of San Juan.

 

The service to be carried out in the first manual phase for 4 months that will start in the first week of January 2025, passing after a period of probing to a 2nd phase with mechanized services, having the project an estimated of more than 20 years of operation.
