In the first week of June, World Environment Day was celebrated. Enaex, with its value of LIFE and the responsible protection of the planet, celebrated in the different business units that comprise it.
In Brazil, the celebration took place between June 5 and 7 under the slogan “Stronger Bonds with all forms of life”. The main objective was to promote learning about biodiversity and sustainability. It included two talks, various activities focused on Brazilian flora and fauna, and concluded with a nature walk.
In Chile, the Punta Teatinos plant conducted a housekeeping activity in all its work areas followed by a reflection session on the importance of protecting the environment. The day concluded with refreshments and the delivery of vegetable seedlings to promote home cultivation. The Corporate Office gave a talk on the climate and water scenario in Chile. Also, in Rio Loa, the plant was cleaned up and, together with the community of Chunchuri, the Loa River was cleaned.
The activities in both countries were fundamental for raising awareness on the protection of our natural environment, since in Enaex, LIFE is a priority value and we are responsible with the environment.
Demonstrating its commitment to mental health and highlighting the importance of wellness among collaborators, Enaex Australia participated in the MATES BIG LAP fundraising challenge. This initiative seeks to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention in the industry.
The team’s efforts were a resounding success, exceeding the initial goals of both kilometers and donations. They completed 1,500 kilometers, far exceeding the initial goal of 450 kilometers, and collected 2,210 AUD, surpassing the target by 210 AUD.
Following this success, Enaex Australia will continue its commitment to corporate volunteering to retribute and positively impact the community. Starting in July 2024, they will collaborate with FareShare in Brisbane and Foodbank in Perth, preparing and packing free meals for those in need.
These actions reinforce Enaex Australia’s dedication to social responsibility and community support, demonstrating that collaboration and joint efforts can significantly impact many lives.

On June 4th, the Women Attraction Cell of Enaex Chile participated in the Female Talent event. This initiative, part of the Exponor framework, aims to promote the labor inclusion of women in the Chilean mining sector.
During the presentation, the Enaex team shared its attraction strategy, benefits, and available positions, aiming to achieve 30% female representation in its global headcount. The cell’s presence was facilitated by Marcela Carrillo, Sustainability Assistant Manager at Enaex Services; Karla Azocar, Head of Planning and Administration at Rio Loa Plant; Nathaly Gonzalez, Human Resources Generalist at Enaex Services; Ana Maria Silva, Recruitment Coordinator; Moyra Carcamo, Trainee Engineer; Carolina Fernandez, Product Manager; and Andres Uzcátegui, Sustainability Coordinator at Enaex Services.
This was the first time Enaex’s stand included a space to present the strategy for attracting female talent and to engage with delegations of students from Technical High Schools in the Antofagasta Region.

Enaex USA has successfully implemented the DaveyTronic 5 (DT5) and DaveyTronic Edge blasting systems at the Simplot Vernal open-pit phosphate mine in Utah, demonstrating outstanding results since early May 2024.
Four blasts were conducted with the DT5 in collaboration with the customer, utilizing between 80 and 700 detonators per blast in single and compartmentalized priming applications. On June 12, 2024, a large blast was executed with 1,759 detonators in synchronized mode and four primers per blast hole, showcasing the advanced capabilities of the DT5.
Additionally, a demonstration was conducted using 338 Edge modules. The customer appreciated the absence of a connection to a Busline and the significantly faster programming and testing time, which facilitated the process. The results were excellent, with no communication problems.
Impressed with these new products, the customer looks forward to future innovations from Enaex. This collaboration reaffirms Enaex’s commitment to operational excellence and technological innovation in the mining industry.

On June 13ᵗʰ, at the Quatro Barras Site, Enaex Brazil held the pre-launch of the DNA Enaex Campaign. The leadership-focused event was conducted by Patricia Valenzuela, Vice President of Human Resources and ESG at Enaex S.A., and João Sorbile, Vice President of Enaex Brazil. The campaign promotion strategy for the entire organization is comprehensive and includes a series of actions planned after the global launch on June 26ᵗʰ.
To bolster the campaign, leaders received onboarding kits for their teams to introduce the main concepts of the initiative. By the end of July, each area and unit will assess potential ways to reinforce our values and set action plans and KPIs for monitoring. Some items were also distributed to reinforce the DNA Enaex in the units, including visual communication materials, water bottles, lanyards, and stickers.

Enaex Argentina has signed an Open Pit contract with Minera Santa Cruz, owned by the Canadian company McEwen Mining. This agreement includes the provision of blasting products and services at the San José Mine, a gold and silver mine located near the city of Perito Moreno in the province of Santa Cruz.
With this contract, Enaex Argentina expands its market share and consolidates its position as a preferred supplier in the mining sector, strengthening the company’s presence in Argentinean Patagonia.

Continuing with the Cultural Transformation program initiated in 2023, the CULTURE KEEPERS training module was implemented. This program gathered a group of collaborators with the objective of preparing them to become future Cultural Ambassadors of the company.
A total of 43 collaborators successfully completed this challenge and graduated as Enaex Culture Ambassadors. Over the past seven months, these collaborators were guided by 12 strategically selected mentors who played a crucial role in their development and training.
However, this is just the beginning. In Peru, the next steps are being managed to ensure these cultural leaders fulfill their responsibilities, particularly in applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the Onboarding process for new collaborators. This work is essential to strengthen and maintain Enaex’s organizational culture.
The culmination of this stage is of great importance in Enaex’s cultural transformation process, reaffirming the company’s commitment to excellence and the continuous improvement of its human capital.

The Safety Visits at the Héry Plant are emerging as a fundamental tool for the continuous improvement of workplace safety. This process primarily focuses on direct observation as a means of encouraging safe behaviors among collaborators.
During these visits, the main objective is not to correct the teams but to positively influence collaborator behavior. It is a space established for discussions on safety-related topics, where key messages are conveyed and the perspectives of our collaborators are heard. The aim is for each person to actively engage in safe practices.
These interactions not only identify potentially hazardous situations but also seek collaborative solutions to address them effectively. Therefore, Safety Visits are not just compliance assessments but opportunities to strengthen a proactive safety culture in the work environment.

On Wednesday, June 12, 32 fourth-grade students specializing in Chemical Plant Operation from the Technical High School B-10 Minero of Calama visited for the first time the Rio Loa Plant as part of the Enaex Chemical Plant Operator Program. During the visit, the students learned in detail about the Nitrator area of the plant, guided by instructors who explained the processes and their importance in chemical production. They also received a safety talk from Rodrigo Marín, Head of Safety.
The students were welcomed by Jorge Fuentes, Manager of Rio Loa Plant; Julio Poggi, Deputy Production Assistant Manager; and María Eliana Adán, Human Resources Manager. The visit provided the students with a comprehensive overview of the management and operation of a chemical plant.
This visit was the first of two scheduled visits before the start of their internships at the plant. The Enaex Chemical Plant Operator Program is committed to the technical education and professional development of young people in the region.

On May 29th, representatives from the mining company Vale gathered at Enaex Core Belo Horizonte. The delegation included teams from the areas of mine operations, technical staff and supplies. At the event, practical demonstrations were made, showing the potential of Enaex Core as a place for training and expansion of Enaex Brasil’s range of technical solutions. Participants had the opportunity to try new available tools and contribute with suggestions, reinforcing the center’s commitment to open innovation and value co-creation.

On May 16 and 17, the Enaex Mining Technical Services (EMTS) team in Peru conducted the Continuous Improvement Seminar, a key event for strengthening collaboration with its strategic partners, Glencore-Antapaccay and Anglo American Quellaveco.
The seminar provided a space for evaluating and discussing the challenges faced by both operations. Participants addressed current issues in detail and worked together to design and plan field tests aimed at creating efficiencies in plant processes and ensuring slope stability in critical conditions.
This facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experience between the companies and allowed the identification of concrete actions to improve safety and operational efficiency. The results of these field tests will be vital in optimizing operations and guaranteeing safer and more efficient production in both mines.
