Enaex, a subsidiary of the Sigdo Koppers Group, successfully completed its third placement of a Sustainability-Linked Bond for UF 2.5 million (approx. US$100 million), with demand 2.8 times the offer. The Series I bond, with a five-year term, was issued at an annual rate of UF + 2.98% and a spread of 73 basis points—the lowest corporate spread in the market in 2025—reflecting confidence in the company’s strength and international expansion. The placement was carried out on the Santiago Stock Exchange, advised by Link Capital Partners and BCI Asesoría Financiera.
Enaex is the first and only Chilean company to issue this type of bond. In 2023 and 2024 it completed two previous placements for UF 2.5 million and UF 1.2 million. This new issuance maintains commitments to emission reductions at the Prillex plant in Mejillones, aligned with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
CFO Pablo Busquet highlighted that this milestone reaffirms Enaex’s commitment to a clear and coherent sustainability strategy. The targets will be verified by Sustainable Fitch and certified by SGS Chile.
In addition, the company is advancing decarbonization and responsible management through projects such as Prillex Zero and Prillex Eco₂, and promotes safety and innovation through Enaex Robotics, developing remote technologies for safer and more sustainable mining.

In an environment where safety is non-negotiable, innovation becomes our best ally. Since September 4, 2025, Enaex has implemented a crucial improvement in the operations of its client Cerro Verde: remote initiation of the plasma accumulator. This technological advance clearly reflects our commitment to the core value “Our priority, Life.”
Thanks to the development of a remote control system operating on the 2.4 GHz ISM band, it is now possible to activate the plasma accumulator from a distance. This milestone represents a significant change in terms of safety and productivity, as it eliminates direct exposure of personnel to medium-voltage electrical energy (4,000 V), enables greater evacuation distances, and improves the efficiency and control of the fragmentation process.
The initial tests were a complete success. The first fragmentation was activated at a distance of 300 meters between the remote control and the accumulator, reaching a total separation of 600 meters between the fragmentation point and the team’s safe location.
This initiative redefines safety standards in mining operations through the use of our Plasma 4TH technology, optimizing processes and demonstrating that innovation and personnel protection can advance together.

In the final days of September, Exco members Bradley Hirst and Comfort Mathenjwa, along with leaders from Witbank and Tharisa, conducted Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) visits to the maintenance workshops, Witbank mini-pits, and the Tharisa site. Internally known as Life Priority Leadership Visibility (LPLV), these are not audits but field walk-throughs where leaders connect directly with teams, observe operations in real time, and reinforce Enaex’s top value: “Our priority, Life.”
During the visits, it was emphasized that increased activity in the mini-pits entails greater risks; therefore, safety must never be compromised. In the maintenance workshop, the importance of maintaining focus and discipline – especially with the incorporation of new resources – was underscored. At Tharisa, challenging geological conditions served as a reminder of the need for maximum attention and constant communication.
The days reflected a strong safety culture, recognized with the SHE REP of the Year award for the Witbank team. Employees appreciated leadership’s approachability and genuine interest in people’s well-being, reinforcing that every action and decision at Enaex always starts with safety first.
