3rd Cultural Ambassadors Meeting

On September 8, the third edition of the Cultural Ambassadors Meeting took place, bringing together representatives from different countries alongside the CEO and CHRO to connect Enaex Culture with the reality of our operations.

On this occasion, Tom Valdivia presented the initiatives driven together with the other ambassadors from France: Béatrice, Wassim, Nadine and Sarah, while Kaluan Moreira (Brazil), Marta Naranjo (Prillex Plant), Arístides Meléndez (Peldehue) and Exequiel Alfaro (El Peñón) shared the initiatives carried out in their respective roles.

Each presentation reflected a different way of living Enaex Culture: collaboration among ambassadors in France, the development of long-term technical capabilities in Brazil, the search for new ways of working by combining people, collaboration and technology at Prillex Plant, and person-to-person engagement in Peldehue and El Peñón. One element was present throughout all the stories: the sense of belonging that is built when people feel they are an active part of something bigger than their own role.

The meeting was also an opportunity to ask ambassadors to support their teams by sharing the invitation to participate in the contests launched as part of the “Let’s Make a Deal” safety campaign, as well as reinforcing the use of the Safety Box and encouraging continued recognition of those who live Enaex Culture every day.

During the session, ambassadors were reminded that the next meeting will take place on December 9. They were also invited to register to present the initiatives being driven in their areas and countries.

Integrated Blasting and Geotechnics Workshop for Slope Construction

On August 13, the Enaex Mining Technical Solutions (EMTS) team brought together specialists and customers in Arequipa for the Slope Stability, Blasting and Geotechnics Workshop. The technical event addressed experiences, best practices and challenges associated with damage control and slope management in open-pit operations.

The event included the participation of Hudbay Perú and Summa Gold Corporation, who shared experiences from their operations and contributed concrete cases to the technical discussion. During the event, Hudbay Perú was recognized for its drilling and blasting practices with preventive slope management, highlighting the integration of operational performance and geotechnical control.

Speakers included Héctor Villalobos, Geotechnical Specialist Manager at Enaex Chile, and Patricio Gómez, Development Manager at ITASCA, together with the EMTS Perú team, which organized the event.

At Enaex, drilling and blasting design integrates fragmentation and productivity objectives with the response of the rock mass and its impact on the geotechnical conditions of the slope, based on the premise that the slope is built and blasting is part of the construction process of the final wall. Under this approach, the company continues developing open-pit solutions that integrate blasting and geotechnics, combining technical expertise, new technologies and digital tools to support operational decision-making and slope construction.

"They Are Waiting for Me": An Initiative That Reminds Us Why We Take Care

Led by its Safety Ambassadors, Enaex Colombia is developing various initiatives focused on caring for life under the premise “Ellos me esperan” (“They Are Waiting for Me”). The campaign reminds us that behind every workday there are family members, friends and loved ones waiting for us to return home.

The message has been brought into different aspects of daily life through hard hats featuring campaign stickers, safety messages shared in WhatsApp groups, reflections during daily safety talks and messages broadcast over the radio, including opportunities for interaction with customers.

Families were also invited to take part in the initiative through letters and messages that reinforce one idea: working safely is also a way of caring for those waiting at home. The campaign reminds us that safety does not end at the operation; it begins with the decision to take care of ourselves every day.

“Por la vida”: An Invitation to See, Listen and Feel What Truly Matters

As part of “Setembro Amarelo” (“Yellow September”), Enaex Brazil carried out the “Por la Vida” campaign, an invitation to pay greater attention to the moments, people and feelings that give meaning to each person’s journey.

In 2026, the campaign featured three initiatives: “Ve la Vida” (“See Life”), which involved sharing photographs capturing meaningful moments from everyday life; “Escucha la Vida” (“Listen to Life”), a live broadcast that shared the stories of two employees, their learnings and experiences; and “Siente la Vida” (“Feel Life”), a connection and reflection experience in which employees walked through a tunnel of messages and captured their dreams, special people, memories and reasons to keep writing their stories on pinwheels.

These activities provided opportunities to pause, reflect, strengthen connections and appreciate what truly matters, because life has value and deserves to be cared for every day.

ESG: From Reporting Requirement to Financial Value

Enaex Africa participated in the 27th edition of the CFO Leadership Summit South Africa, held in Johannesburg, where senior financial leaders explored the evolving role of ESG and sustainability in business strategy.

Representing Enaex Africa, Cristián Henríquez, Chief Financial Officer, joined an expert panel examining how organisations are integrating ESG into financial strategy, capital allocation and long-term value creation.

The discussion explored an increasingly important question: How can sustainability translate into measurable business value?

Topics included sustainability ROI, investor expectations, ESG-related risks, access to capital and evolving reporting requirements, with a strong focus on making sustainability commercially accountable.

A key perspective shared during the discussion was that well-implemented ESG can reveal the quality and maturity of a management team in ways that extend beyond what is visible in an annual report. As ESG moves from primarily a reporting requirement towards a broader financial value conversation, finance leaders have an increasingly important role in connecting sustainability commitments with business performance.

For Enaex Africa, the conversation reinforced the importance of integrating sustainability into the way we think about long-term value, risk and responsible business growth.
A valuable conversation on how finance can help turn sustainability from an obligation into an opportunity for lasting value creation.
